Gilmore Car Museum Garage Works
With the vision of committed donors and the passion of mentors providing guidance and inspiration, the GILMORE GARAGE WORKS program has continued to expand since its inception in the fall of 2009.  More than 15 adult mentors currently provide students between the ages of 14-18 with instruction in automotive technology, welding, painting, and fabrication skills.  The goal:  Build career paths and a love of the automotive history, as well as the “soft skills” of personal responsibility, reliability, and personal presentation.  Each student leaves the program with a resume, a portfolio, letters of recommendation, and a sense of accomplishment.
